    • Stephen Let me explain. First, a while back, God told Abraham to move. Then Abraham fathered Isaac, who later had jacob, who had the 12 tribes of Israel. Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, but God was with him and gave him wisdom. Joseph served Egypt's Pharaoh well and helped rule the land, bringing his whole family to Egypt. The family grew and grew, and a new king ruled Egypt and he did not know Joseph and did not like our people. Moses was born and adopted into Pharaoh's house. But he saaw the mistreatment of his brethren, struck down an Egyptian, and fled. Forty years later, the voice of God spoke from a burning bush. God told him that he was to deliver God's people from Egypt. He did lead them out, and into the wilderness for forty years. He received instructions from God, but the people rebelled and had Aaron make an idol of a golden calf. Our fathers had a tabernacle in the wilderness, and Solomon built the temple for God, but God does not live in things we build - He has all of heaven and earth. You resist the Holy Spirit. Your fathers killed the prophets who spoke of the Righteous One, whom you have now murdered.
